Canadian Adventures (Mounties Sold Separately)

Our first stop was Leavenworth, the most Bavarian little town in Washington state!

Dinner in Leavenworth

Delightfully “Bavarian” touches everywhere

Bellingham campus

The twins waiting for the ferry on the back of our gypsy truck.

Bundled up ferry riding!

Drinking (quite legally I might add) at an Irish pub in downtown Victoria.

I’ve finally tried Poutine! Seasoned fries with brown gravy and cheese curds actually doesn’t taste like a heart attack.

Brilliant. Love this.

SOME people didn’t believe that there was such a thing as ketchup chips. Not only did I go on to prove their existence, I also found their spicy Canadian cousins!

My mom putting the Victorian espresso beans through their paces.

Nanaimo Bars in Nanaimo! More importantly I learned how Nanaimo was spelled.

Not sure what angle you have to look at this to make it line up… but I still approve.

Begin Butchart Gardens!

Why don’t all hills have lovely little built in steps?

Even the recycling cans were draped in florals!

Looking out over the sunken garden…

there it is!

Gorgeous stained glass at St. Andrews cathedral
